By public transport
Leeds Train Station is straightforward 10-minute walk away. From New Station Street, bear left onto Wellington Street, then left onto Bishopgate Street, after a walk through the tunnel, turn right onto The Calls.
Our offices are halfway down the cobbled section of The Calls when you turn off the Loop Road. Go past 46 The Calls and the Langtons Wharf blue archway on your right. On your left there are black railings with an archway which have a view of the Leeds Minster in the background. You will see the signs for 43 The Calls at the lower ground level.
If you come from the Bus station, leave at the south exit and walk under the train bridge. Cross the Minster Yard and take the steps down to a small courtyard. Our offices are on the left.
By Bicycle
There are ample spaces for you to secure your bicycle in the area around LCI. Unfortunately we can not accommodate them inside our building.

The use of 43 The Calls…
When you visit our office, this is the notice you will find displayed, as a reminder of our shared values:
This facility is used for the work of Leeds Church Institute; Leeds Sanctuary; and West Yorkshire Citizens. Staff from these organisations work here on a regular basis, along with visitors and volunteers. It is a place of creativity, discussion and practical developments, all of which share values focussed on human flourishing and reflect Christian beliefs.
We hope that while you are in the building you will experience a positive atmosphere in which you feel encouraged and are supported to flourish. It may be helpful to know about some of our values which help inform the way we behave at 43 The Calls.

While we are here we aim to be:
- Trustworthy – creating an environment that encourages individuals to be open, honest and worthy of other’s confidence
- Safe – behaving in an appropriate manner in order to keep persons free from physical, spiritual and psychological harm
- Respectful – responding to all people in a professional manner, giving full consideration to their circumstances
- Challenging – empowering individuals to explore their own and other people’s behaviours and actions in a way that is constructive
- Mindful – acting with an awareness of how others’ work and what helps to bring out the best in everyone
- Responsible – being accountable for our actions, conduct and services.
If anything falls short of these aims, please let us know. You may feel able to raise this at the time, but that may not always be the case. If you reflect on something you and feel it hasn’t been right, please contact the LCI Director or the LCI Trustee with responsibility for safeguarding.
