Growing Old Grace-fully

Today we ask you to pray for the work of Growing Old Grace-fully. 

We are a small charity working across the Diocese of Leeds (Catholic focus but also in wider partnership). We aim to enable Later Life Friendly parishes and churches, improving wellbeing for older people in spiritual, emotional and practical ways.

This year we have been glad to respond to the situation by:

(1) Producing 2 colourful printed booklets to send to isolated people without internet access
during lockdown, including prayers, poems, scripture and information.
(2) Producing regular helpful content on our website and increase the frequency of mailings.
(3) Delivering 4 online sessions (with LCI and FIEP) entitled ‘A Matter of Life and Death’ – giving space to talk about death and dying and the pain of this in these particular times.

Please pray that we will continue to respond effectively in 2021 so older people are strengthened and parishes know how to respond to their needs and involve them.
