“Faith in Elderly People are finally handing over the baton. It has been a wonderful journey for all of us. We are all richer for having journeyed with our friends who have lived with dementia, who have taught us so much.”
The Leeds Faith in Elderly People group has done incredible work to support the faith and spiritual needs of people living with dementia. As the network draws to a close, we want to celebrate everything it has achieved, and look forward to how the work will be continued in the future.
The event will include reflections from Helen Reid, Director of Leeds Church Institute, and Gaynor Hammond, Dementia Project Worker for Faith in Elderly People. Join in with our ‘Memory Trees’ activity, stalls, and group discussions. We will share lunch together, and end with a short service of blessing for the work of Faith in Elderly People.
