As part of our series exploring Hope throughout Lent for Leeds Lent Prayer Diary 2021, in partnership with Leeds Christian Community Trust, we welcome Revd Phil Arnold, vicar of Christ Church, Upper Armley in Leeds. Revd Phil, who has long been committed to Christian mission and particularly cross cultural mission, reflects on why Hope endures.
We ask for your prayers for the work of each project featured in the Diary to bring new signs of life, hope and transformation to the lives of individuals as well as to the city. Revd Samantha Sheehan, a minister within the United Reformed Church (URC) and part of the Universities Chaplaincy in Leeds, invites us to pray with her following Revd Phil’s talk. As well as working at the Chaplaincy, Samantha is also exploring how congregations within the URC engage with young people.
