The Conference: ‘Compassion in a Crisis: How Leeds Came Together in Crisis, What We Learnt and How We Can Further Develop Partnerships’ takes place at St George’s Centre Leeds.
About this event
This Conference seeks to develop the conversation around how we as a city worked together through the COVID-19 crisis. We will look at how, across different sectors with inherently different languages and praxis, we were able to deliver on broadly similar aims within our communities, and how we can best keep strong working partnerships.
Leeds Church Institute, Voluntary Action Leeds and St George’s Crypt have been working together throughout the pandemic, with a range of partners, to develop a range of research topics and themes with broadly similar ambitions; to see how organisations have responded compassionately in a crisis.
Alongside keynote speakers with a wealth of Faith, third sector and public sector experience we will be hosting a number of organisations in a marketplace setting to share their experiences of partnership work through COVID.
We hope this will be a wide-ranging and informative conference with the opportunity to network, build on existing partnerships, develop new relationships and celebrate the vital work that the Faith sector, the Third Sector and the Public Sector delivered through COVID.
